2009 WAKE COUNTY ELECTION SCHEDULE
WWRC FLAG FLOWN OVER IRAQ
The WWRC Club flag was flown over the "VIctory Over the Americas" palace in Iraq by Major Colby Hammonds member of the Western Wake Republican Club who is currently on active duty. Major Hammonds on the right indicated that he has been at a number of bases throughout Iraq during his current tour of duty. The flag and a certificate that it was flown over the palace is now on the way back home to the WWRC.This particular flag has special meaning to the WWRC because it was also flown over the United States Capital during April 2007 and became the clubs official flag at the 2007 Annual Family Picnic. This flag will always remind us of the sacrifice and dedication of the men and women of the armed forces. To all members of the armed forces thank you for your service.
